MORE "MILLIONAIRE"- M.M.'s LAST FILM OF 1953 Many throught that co-star Betty Grable and Marilyn would not get along, as both were the "Top Blondes" of Hollywood and Marilyn was certainly edging Betty out from her top spot. But they became good friends during the movie and Betty Grable seemed ready to accept turning over her crown to Marilyn. The one thing Marilyn didn't like was having to wear glasses but the director convinced her that it would make her sexy blonde  character even better. The movie was the last one she made prior to marrying Joe DiMaggio. Her fame and popularity were soaring, and the release of the very first issue of  Playboy  magazine with her on the cover and a reprint of her famous nude calendar shot, made her a name and a legend forever.
