June 28, 1953, Marilyn Monroe and co-star Jane Russell, amid a       huge crowd of press, fans and       wolf-whistles, place their hands into the wet cement in front of Grauman's Chinese Theatre in Hollywood. For Marilyn it was   a  major personal reward and a recognition that her many fans really loved her. Yet Marilyn's own self doubts about her talent continued to always erode her fragile self confidence.
