"Love Happy", 1949, Starring Groucho Marx. Groucho cast Marilyn (who had been out of work for six months) in a small part in his movie. Groucho said he needed Marilyn to walk by him in a manner "to cause smoke to come out of my ears". He played a detective, and in the brief scene Marilyn bursts into his office and says "Some men are following me!" Groucho replies "I can't think why!!!" The brief scene got her an "Introducing Marilyn Monroe" screen credit and became a favorite with the public. It also caught the attention of big-time movie agent Johnny Hyde, though already married, he fell completely in love with her and wanted to get married. Hyde's wife divorced him and Marilyn said still said no, but he was so smitten by her that he promoted her anyway and got her career really rolling.
