Lawford introducing the "late Marilyn Monroe" at Jack   Kennedy's birthday
Lawford with
Jackie and John Jr. on a visit to Hawaii in 1966

One other character who plays a peripheral but            ultimately important role in Marilyn Monroe's life and possibly her fate is movie actor Peter       Lawford. His most important "role" came as a   Kennedy family insider who hosted many special gatherings at his beach house, also known as the "Western White House". Attendees included Marilyn Monroe, Robert Kennedy and Jack   Kennedy, also known as "The President". The full story and their variations are described in the many different interesting books about Marilyn Monroe and one particularly about Peter       Lawford. Most of them are well worth reading.
